Indie MMO Spotlight: limpeza de primavera

Each week, we scour the internet for all things indie MMO-related so you don’t have to. This week, developers have been doing some spring cleaning, leaving us with a bunch of updates and patches full of bug fixes and fresh new content. And along with a new addition to the IMS, we also found a couple of MMOs headed to mobile. But let’s quit wasting time and get started with this week’s Indie MMO Spotlight.

The Easter Holiday event started this week. Along with a solo egg hunt, players can try out a new dungeon which, judging by the short clip Phanxgames tweeted out, has a big bunny as the final boss.

For those of you who have been enjoying the Ancient Journals series, Clockwork Studios released part 3 this week. While the previous entries had a religious sort of theme, this latest entry tells the tale of some poor sod who let a stranger into his home. I’m still not sure how all of these journals tie into the actual game, but I can’t wait to find out.

Book of Travels

A new patch was released on April 5 for Book of Travels. As promised, the update contains a hefty dose of bug fixes as the team works to clean up the current release before moving ahead with any new content. You can read the full patch notes on the BoT Steam page. And just how long does the team expect to be working on bugs? According to a new community update, for the next three months, they will be working on large scope tech issues, and then hopefully they will be able to start working on more content.

The Cycle: Frontier

The Cycle closed beta had another patch this week. It really is nice to see a developer use a beta test to make adjustments and fix bugs instead of just trying to get presales.

According to its Steam page, Ethyrial: Echoes of Yore “is inspired by the old-school new, set on the lands of Irunmesa, uncover secrets, explore new lands, fight fearful monsters, build your home and craft your own equipment.” There isn’t a release date yet, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated on all Ethyrial news.

Fractured Online

If you missed the livestream of the Council of Elysium you can watch a replay on the gamigogames Twitch channel. The Closed Beta also started this week and is now running 24/7, minus any downtime for patches. If you aren’t already in the Beta and want to be, you can get access by purchasing a Founder’s Pack.
